Carolyn Kamasaka

Ms. Carolyn Kamasaka is a digital health specialist with over 10 years of experience leading the design, planning, roll-out and synthesis of learning from digital health interventions in Uganda and other countries in sub-Saharan Africa. She has supported development partners including the Global Fund, USAID, Rockefeller Foundation and the Gates Foundation to develop custom-made digital health interventions at national and sub-national levels (including at district, health facility and community levels), and to develop appropriate performance monitoring frameworks at different levels of use.
Ms. Kamasaka has extensive experience at both the national and sub-national levels. At the national level she works with the senior leadership at the Ministry of Health to coordinate digital health initiatives in liaison with health development partners. At the sub-national level, she guides implementation through designing SOPs, training of users and their supervisors, performance monitoring and synthesis of learning. Ms. Kamasaka holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Health Informatics from the same university.
